Designer Bag Cake Pops

In early November, we had an order for Juicy Couture cake pops bound for Dallas, TX, but the person organizing the party had to cancel at the last minute. Fortunately, we have not added the logo yet for we know we can easily sell them. We got a group of girls who love Chanel and Louis Vuitton have them for they tea party that same weekend. They were already making chocolate chip cookies, but could not resist the vanilla flavored designer bag cake pops when we offered.

We quickly added the embellishments to fit their needs. Moral lesson-- always design something that can be versatile for a quick change. Glad we did! :)

Jessica's 17th Birthday- Rotating Anime Cake

On November 2nd, we celebrated Jessica's 17th birthday party quietly again, just like every year. Just us, some relatives on her dad's side, and her bestie- Elora. Mom Josie made this special cake for her-- a rotating anime cake depicting Jessica as a slayer (check out her sword) of evildoers of the universe. She rides a dragon (printed backdrop) with her trusty sidekick Cloud (our maltese). Many thanks to Mayen from Way Beyond Cakes by Mayen for the inspiration on the rotating cake. Her tutorial on it had inspired us to make our very first animated and rotating cake. If you remember, she also inspired us to use party LED balloon lights, which we used on Optimus Prime.

The birthday girl was so happy to see herself as an anime character since she's a big anime fan!

The cake is a mango cake with peach and mango cream cheese/mascarpone filling covered in caramel marshmallow fondant. It was raining heavily so the cake was not as smooth as we have hoped for due to humidity.

Happy birthday Jessica...we love you!!!

The seahorse fondant decorating the front is her favorite stuffed toy- Starburst!

Yo Gabba Gabba Cake Pops

When we were asked to make these in November, we did not know at first who "they" were. That often happens to us because we're no longer as in-tuned to children's shows as we used to since Jessica is now 17. We still laugh at our first reaction when someone asked us to make Olivia the Pig cake pops, we almost asked-- "Olivia the who???". Anyway, these Yo Gabba Gabba characters were so fun to make that we've decided to post a tutorial here for Brobee.

The day we were set to ship out these cuties, an emergency happened. Jessica's dad hurt his back due to a bad fall. He couldn't move, so we had to get an ambulance to take him. Thanks to Jessica's auntie Grace, she helped ship the goodies via UPS. They made it on time for the party!

Total 30 pcs (5 for each character-- Brobee, Foofa, Plex, Muno and Toodie) in chocolate flavors.

Olivia the Pig Cake Pops

We recently shipped 3 dozens of Olivia the Pig themed cake pops. They're all in chocolate cake with choco mousse flavors. We made the pink color paler than the usual pink that Wilton candy melts offer. We also used fondant for the nose and used edible black ink for the eyes and lips. The party was in red and black theme so we used curly ribbons to match. Got an email from the customer, they said the pops were a hit and recommended to friends.

Minnie Mouse Themed Shower

We recently shipped cake pops and cookies in pink and black Minnie Mouse theme for a bridal shower. Here are the photos we took. Hope you like them.
